Over the past couple of years, AI has dramatically changed how work is done in many industries. Many marketers have latched on to AI tools because they dramatically speed up the ideation and content creation process.
This article outlines the way we use AI for content creation for clients and ourselves at Markexe.
While it is certainly possible to have AI write an article, is that a good idea?
NO.
Why?
1. The world doesn’t need another piece of bland content that is regurgitated from other content on the internet. AI can only produce content based on the information it has been trained with. This information may or may not be current, or accurate.
2. It’s not human and will never be able to fully communicate like a human.
3. Negative SEO impact.
What is the goal of content for a brand?
Communicate with prospective customers to provide value or entertainment in an effort to help them know, like and trust your brand.
How do we use AI to create content?
AI is a tool, period. It’s no different than a hammer. A skilled craftsman knows how to wield it effectively to do his work.
Similarly, our team leverages AI tools to create quality content for our clients and ourselves more effectively.
Ideation
We leverage resources like Gemini and ChatGPT to generate ideas for topics, keyword research, subject lines, content outlines, and initial content concepts.
Our content creators take this information and craft unique, original content designed to connect with a specific target audience.
Grammar
We use Grammarly to review our content to check for spelling and correct grammar. However, it can’t replace another set of human eyes reviewing content, especially with highly creative content.
Video Editing
Tools like Descript, Loom, and Riverside make creating, transcribing, and editing videos much faster.
Graphic Design
Canva and other design tools have leveraged AI to speed up the process of creating graphics. When leveraged properly, AI can be quite helpful in speeding up the creation of graphics and other designs (especially social media graphics).
Is it human?
One of our clients ran an article we wrote for them and ran it through an AI detector. They shared the results with us and we were quite surprised by them. This motivated us to do some research on the accuracy of AI detectors and led us to this tool at Writer.com for assessing how “human” a piece of content is.
And yes, this article was crafted by a human
Be Authentic
Humans need each other. We were created to thrive through community.
The overuse of AI for content creation robs us of the opportunity to communicate authentically and build connections with others.
In a world oversaturated with technology, more people are realizing they need less tech and more humanity.
Use your content as a way to be human and authentically connect with people you want to do business with.
People will notice and be drawn to your brand.
